January 8th, Teacher Alexandra & students gathered for a 3rd session of our monthly rubric, World Café, as part of our European project “Bookpackers around Europe” of the ERASMUS+ Programme.
They started with a student’s presentation on Jonathan Safran Foer, an American writer and the author of our current read “Extremely Loud & Incredibly Close”. There was also a quiz on the book around the characters and plot. Indeed, the book is a first-person narration, but what is unique is that there are three first-person narrators. Therefore, the questions and doubts that came up concerning the different voices and timeline were also debated and clarified.
After the session, all participants felt more comfortable and ready for the upcoming debates with the partner countries that will take place this month, via videoconference, and in English.
