Discovering Izmir
A morning was spent discovering Izmir history and cultural heritage. We had a great opportunity to visit the Central Library and had a stroll around Kızlarağası Old Bazaar.  We were captivated by Izmir's charm, impressed by its multiculturalism and positive energy.
A visit to Hatice Güzelcan Anadolu Lisesi
All teachers from Italy, Portugal, Spain and Poland were warmly welcomed by the head teacher, the school staff and despite the afternoon hours by some enthusiastic students.
The joint staff meeting took place in the school library. Presentations were held by Italian teachers on Communication and Collaboration in eTwinning projects and Oral Expression. The leader of the project shared his experience and practical ideas how to conduct a good debate on literature. The Polish teachers presented the project website and its functionality.

Meeting with authorities
It was our honor to be accompanied by the District Directorate of the National Education during our group breakfast. The role of international projects and the importance of collaboration in various field were discussed. All parts appreciated the chance to meet and exchange experiences as we all can see the significance and the great impact such projects have on global education.

Joint Staff Meeting
Afterwards another joint staff training for Bookpackers Around Europe Project took place. The teachers participated in Creative Workshops held by the Polish representative. The presentation on school libraries was conducted by the Portugese teachers and the Turkish team shared their suggestions how to prepare audioguides. The Spanish coordinator presented the main aspects of KA229 projects and discussed the dissemination of the activities, mobility tool, integration of the activities in the curriculum.

Meeting with students
It was a great pleasure to have an opportunity to meet and talk to Turkish students from HGAL. There was also a time to exchange and share our teaching experiences with other teachers and discuss the development of the Erasmus+ project.
Cultural Heritage - Ephesus
Thanks to hospitality of the hosts we had an unforgettable chance to immerge in ancient history. The ruins of Ephesus still give some idea of the city's original splendour. We could all imagine how vibrant city it must have been in its former life.
